For the workshop Habs Akram will demonstrate & discuss Visual Mixing in realtime & also demo his visual mixing APP called V4M (Visuals 4 Music).

Habs is rightly regarded and respected as one of the leading VJ’s in the music industry. He’s worked with the world’s best known DJ’s such as Carl Cox for over 10yrs as his personal VJ, & also with Fatboy Slim, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Armand Van Burren & many more at leading dance Festival main stages and entertainment events globally for over 25yrs.

Habs has also toured with numerous bands including Nine Inch Nails, Leftfeild, Hybrid and Franz Ferdinand.

Habs has also performed at some of the world’s leading events including the Glastonbury Festival (Main Stage), V Festival and the Isle of Wight Festival. He’s also performed at world renowned locations including Wembley Arena, Ministry of Sound, Tomorrowlands, EDC, WMC Miami, Global Gathering festivals, Creamfields, Tomorrowlands ,Ultra Miami and Ultra Worlwide and Resident VJ @ Space Club Ibiza with Carl Cox for 8yrs .

1.30pm: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (in association with Thunderboom)

Thunderboom Records is the world’s first record label for robots. Being a non-profit, they investigate how new technology, and especially AI, can benefit human creativity instead of threaten it. To do so, they develop their own AI technology and virtual artists which are inclusive, accessible and transparent.

Responsible AI for the music industry: create live music with WAIVE, an AI-driven DJ system. During the workshop we will discuss the impact of AI on the music industry and live performances. Also, we will collectively create beats with the help of our AI-driven DJ system WAIVE. WAIVE helps you create original dance music by using Dutch audio heritage materials in a unique way.

We will show the audience how AI could challenge and enrich the live music creation process by using WAIVE Studio.
